BETA connect bug report template

Beta testing is such an important part of shaping the final version of the games and software we love to play and use. A crucial part of this is providing consistent, easily interpreted information and feedback between testers and developers. The building block of any beta test is the bug report. B3TA connect has put together this template to get you started. Your comments are always welcome.

Your game setup
  • Beta build or version 
  • Character / profile name / faction /guild / gang 
  • Character class / level
  • List the skills / spells / boosts / equipment / weapons / vehicles etc used
  • Map or area you were in
  • Game type you were playing

Description of bug
  • Time and date the bug occurred
  • The action that caused the bug (if you can’t reproduce the bug it’s probably not worth reporting)
  • Description of the bug 

Your system
  • Processor (CPU)
  • RAM
  • OS
  • Graphics card

A good bug report
I was playing <game beta build> at <time and date> with <profile / character>. I was in <map, game type> and used / interacted with <skill / spell / weapon / vehicle / NPC / menu item>. I found that this caused <the bug / error message> which resulted in <description of bug>. I was able to successfully recreate this bug <#> number of times.
