Publishers Reto-Moto are former members of IO interactive and Eidos who developed the Hitman franchise. I mention theses credentials as Reto-Moto's is doing something pretty damn cool and innovative in the gaming space by making Heroes & Generals cross-platform. And I don't mean just that it's on PC, Xbox and PS3.
Heroes & General is a persistent online game combining first-person action (Hero) with strategic control (General). Heroes battle thousands of other players in first person combat, fight the war on foot, in vehicles or from the skies. As a Generals you can rise to become a commander of armies.
The interesting part is that the game is available on PC, but also on mobile devices, allowing players to keep in touch with the battllefield. You can issue new orders, move troops, order airstrikes or artillery barrages on the move using your smartphone or tablet and then when you get home, strap in for some FPS action.
